3rd Annual Poker Run
The 3rd annual no-motor poker run on Long and Miskwabi Lakes was a resounding success, bringing together community members for a day of adventure and camaraderie. Participants gathered in the morning, equipped with canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards, ready to navigate the scenic routes of Long and Miskwabi.
As the run commenced, dark clouds loomed overhead, and occasional rain showers added an extra layer of challenge, however, this did not dampen the spirits of the participants! Laughter and friendly banter echoed across the water as teams strategised and shared in the excitement of the day.
The camaraderie continued at the finish line, where everyone gathered to determine the day’s big winners. Prizes were awarded for the best poker hands, and everyone left with smiles.
Big thanks to all the volunteers for handing out the cards at the pickup stations, and to Steve Dyce for coordinating and headlining the event.
See you on the water next year!
